LOCK-IN Postponed
Due to the overnight Winter Weather Advisory for the St. Louis area, we are postponing the OMS Lock-

in.  The event will be rescheduled for Friday, February 27th.  We realize the District Academic Olympics

are scheduled for Saturday the 28th and we will make accommodations for students that need to leave

early due to this event.  Students that were unable to attend the original date but are free for the

rescheduled date will be able to sign up next week.  For those currently registered who are unavailable

to attend on our rescheduled date, please contact Mr. Salsman at

msalsman@mehlvilleschooldistrict.net or Laura Shotton at lkshotton@gmail.com.  We will provide you

with information on how refunds will be issued.  If you were unable to help tonight but are available on

the 27th, please contact Laura Shotton.   All volunteers currently signed up for the event will be

contacted directly.
7th Grade Crazy Traits
Science teacher Jenn Walter and her students are studying genetics and heredity thanks to a grant she received through an educational philanthropic website known as donorschoose.org. Walter’s twelve-hundred dollar grant application, for an educational game called “Crazy Traits,”
is designed to demonstrate survival of the fittest.

  • Hopefully, your class is on its way to earning a free day outside in advisory once the weather warms up!  Each classroom that raises $100 or more wins!  Remember, you can also win a chance to make a half-court shot during the staff vs student basketball game.  Donate $100 or more for your chance to win $50!   Remember each grade level that earns $600 earns a special reward -- 6th grade, will you win a day of NO homework?  7th grade, will you win a day of NO homework?  8th grade, will we get to see Mr. Fernbacher shave his beard???  Will Gavin shave his head at an upcoming assembly???  It is the final push -- Remember, tonight is the last night to collect your donations.

  • At this time, all 8th grade boys who are in choir should report to the choir room.
